Post vacation blues...

28-Jan-08: After our Mexico trip, when Eva returned to Brenda’s she didn’t want to take a bottle @ first it was a little cute, but then the bottle boycott got me worried! Luckily after about a 2 week strike she’s started taking about 3 oz. a day (she’s gotten better since) but she just likes it from the tap as Uncle Rob likes to say:-)

Eva's 1st Vacation

Jan-2008: Eva was a DOLL on vacation, napped well, slept in (no 3 am mornings w/ her! Sorry Grace!) – You name it and she was a DREAM. She LOVED the pool, even played on her belly putting her face in. But she didn’t like the beach, or I should say the sand! Guess she’s like her Mommy, I didn’t like the sand when I was little either.

Pina-colada's

Jan-2008: I’m always telling Grace that soda & coffee will make her SHORT… well while on vacation Grace had a “virgin” pina-colada, and Eva of course wanted what Grace had. Grace said, “NO Eva this will make you SHORT!” Too funny!!!!

Cabo

Jan-2008: Grace was such an AMAZING little girl on vacation – it’s not till you see other children her age, or how well she plays w/ others and her sister… makes you realize what a sweet special little girl she is!

Eva's passport...

18-Jan-08: We’d just left the passport office and had to take a taxi back to the airport, and we get into the taxi and Grace LOUDLY exclaims, “Mom, Mom, you smell that?? (the taxi was stinky)… I smell something… I think it stinks in here!” The whole time I’m telling her, “its okay, just be quiet” but of course she can’t stop. She then says, “Can I put my hand here? I think it’s dirty!” When we go into a public restroom, I’m always telling not to touch anything b/c it’s dirty! I was certain the taxi cab driver was going to pull over and make us get out!

Where did the cow-go?

18-Jan-08: While on our trip to Chicago to get Eva an emergency passport, I asked Grace, “how did you like Chicago?” Grace looked at me and immediately said, “Where did the cow-go?”

Bath time...

Jan-2008: Both girls LOVE bath time. Its so cute Eva starts wiggling everything when its bath time, and Grace BEGGS for Eva to take a bath w/ her – too SWEET!!!

Yes you can, go use the alligator

9-Jan-2008: Grace was at the top of the stairs @ Nanni & Poppy’s house, yelling down to Uncle Rob saying “come up here & kiss me!” Rob told her, “I can’t get up there…” Grace then told him, “Yes you can, go use the alligator! Aka: elevator!”

Eva's favorite food...

8-Jan-08: Eva’s favorite food to eat to date is PEAS! She likes rice cereal and sweet potatoes, they are a close second.

Open your mouth

8-Jan-08: Grace loves to say, “open your mouth” when she thinks you’re eating something good – she never wants to miss out on! She’s often told me, “Mommy you smell like licorice!”

Where is the fun at???

8-Jan-2008: We were off to look at items for the new house & we told Grace, “this is going to be sooooo much fun!” Grace responded, “where is the fun at???”

Eva's 1st tooth

5-Jan-08: Eva got her 1st toot! Just barely peeking through on the bottom, she loves to stick her tongue out feeling it!
