A diaper in the potty??

Today was the BEST! Grace & Eva played together, which is a new thing for them. Grace is always wanting Eva to play with her but in general Eva is more wanting to be w/ me or wanting me to hold her, etc... but this morning they played house. It was too sweet! Eva was Grace's baby:-)

Which leads to Grace telling me "I changed Eva's diaper." I asked her what did you do w/ the diaper, "I don't know." So I chalked it up to the fact that they were playing house. Then at bedtime, I was rocking Eva when Grace had to go potty in their bathroom (one we don't often use). I hear Grace say, "Mommy, someone put a diaper in this potty." I asked, "Who put a diaper in the potty?" Grace said, "I think it was me...." I told her, "Go get your Daddy." Grace went to get Matt, and came back saying she needed her doggy if she had to go tell him... maybe a little back-up? :-)

Matt came up and was mad, so I had to get up and see how bad it was, rocking Eva or not... I'm not sure why he was so mad - the toilet didn't overflow, thank goodness she didn't flush the diaper! But the potty had absolutely NO water in it! The diaper had absorbed everything. Matt made Grace help get it out, I guess she won't do that again!

I just got Grace goggles, and it's amazing to see what a difference it makes! She will now put her face in the water, plus she looks so cute wearing them:-)

A warm start to summer...

Wow, the weather this spring has been GREAT! I can only wish it will be this nice all summer. The girls have spent the last few days playing in the pool. This morning they had Ella & Elija (Griggs) over to swim!

Preschool Graduation....

Can you believe my baby is going to GRADUATE??? It can't be possible, it seems like just yesterday she couldn't even crawl. Matt and I are constantly saying, "does she seem older today?" YES! It happens that fast:-(

Just like Grace...

Oh my gosh, could I ask for a sweeter little girl? Gracie got her sunglasses (the pair in the back) from Denny & MaryAnn on Eva's birthday. Well she looked so cute in them, I kept saying how much I liked them, and I would tease her asking if I could just have them:-) She told Matt for my birthday they HAD to find me a pair. Now, isn't that SWEET!

I just love her to pieces!

Driving Pop-pop...

Oh wow, when Eva is old enough to drive - lookout! Grace's interests are more across the board, but Miss Eva has a thing for cars. She wants to sit in the seat of the car and pretend to drive - and lookout b/c if Pop-pop is around she wants to ACTUALLY drive!

Poppy is obsessed about his cars, and he even let Eva stand on the seat of his BMW and pretend to drive. She's got these guys wrapped around her little finger!

And of course we can't forget Grace, if Eva's driving she's not going to let her little sister out do her...

Today I worked on editing pics while the girls were napping -- well just Eva was actually napping. Grace was supposed to be napping but ended up sitting on the chair next to me commenting on the pics. She was too cute! Commenting on the ones she liked the best, how pretty Erin was, saying how she wanted to get married -- awww... please don't let her grow up too fast!

Later she had her Barbie laptop out and would say "Aant to see pics of Erin & Josh? I just love this one.... click click click... what do you think?"

Totally made my day! She is so easy going and can make just about ANY one smile:-)

A home made Mother's Day present from Gracie....

HAPPY DAY!!!!

Mother's Day is the BEST! The girls were so cute, when I woke up I could hear them through the monitor grace was saying, "I'll help you, say - Happy Mother's Day." And you could hear Eva say "HAPPY DAY!", Grace would be like, "no....Happy Mother's Day". While they were talking, I quietly slipped upstairs and suprised them, to a squeal of giggles -- loved it!!!!

That's NOT NICE...

On the way home from Brenda's today I asked Grace (knowing Matt wouldn't tell me -- but maybe she would!)... "So what did you get me for Mother's Day?" (smile). She of course told me, "I don't know - what did you get me?" I tried explaining that she wasn't a mother yet, so right now it was just me getting the presents:-)

Grace of course looked at me very seriously and said, "that's NOT NICE." Hey it's life girl!
And just an update - I got a GREAT new bag!

Dentist Apt...

Brenda had a root canal so I had to pick the girls up early, figured she was going to the dentist might as well have my teeth checked too! So since it's Poppy who checks my teeth they worked Grace in too. I mentioned this to Grace when we were at Brenda's house -- you would have thought I'd told her he best friend died she looked so scared I thought she might cry right then and there! We got to Poppy's and she didn't want them to even look at her teeth, then one word from Tyla and she's like BFF's with her, heading off to another room to have her teeth cleaned:-) No cavities, she said "Poppy's tooth paste makes your teeth crunchy." She was pretty happy too b/c she got to pick a prize out of the prize box -- and of course she gets the one tattoo that stays on for days....

Hannah Gracie...

It's too cute how quickly they pick up on things... Grace is head over heals for Hannah Montana... wants to look like her, dress like her, you name it. Well after a shower tonight, Eva very sweetly smiled at Grace and said very clearly "Hannah Gracie" w/ a HUGE grin! Grace was like, "aaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Eva you're so nice!" Eva couldn't have said anything nicer too her:-)

And since she got so much attention for it she now says that to her, whenever she wants to make her happy.

Cookout at Nanni's...

After Eva's birthday party we had a cookout at Mom's house - Denny/MaryAnn, George/Sunni, Kevin/Brittany, Rick/Vickie & Rob. The girls of course had a ton of fun playing w/ Brittany -- you would have never known Eva was so shy at her birthday party, b/c at Mom's w/ Brittany she was running around trying to keep up w/ Grace:-) Below are some pics Brittany took --

Grace got new glasses from Denny & MaryAnn too -- and thinks she is next in line to fill in for Hannah Montana!

In fact Sunday evening, Eva called Grace "Hannah Gracie" -- Grace L O V E D it!!!

Eva's 2nd Birthday Party...

Saturday we had Eva's birthday party, which was nice, luckily it didn't rain. it was too funny though b/c Eva was very excited for people to come - party started at 1:00 p.m. and no one was on time. She kept running to the door to look out, and Grace would say, "Mommy, where is everyone?" I was like I don't know and Eva would answer "outside". But about 1:10 p.m. EVERYONE showed up at once, and Eva went from excited to have a party to wanting to disappear. It was so funny.

I thought I would get some good pics of her opening presents, etc... she made me sit w/ her on the floor to open them. At first she wasn't going to let go of me to open them - but then Grace and Ella came to help some. She got a bathing suit and sun glasses from Denny and Maryann (she's her godmother) - they got her tons of other things too but these two items she was in LOVE with. She put her sunglasses on -- to hide, and once she'd eaten cake insisted on changing into her bathing suit -- which she wore for her nap, to the cookout later that evening, and to bed:-) she's not strong willed at all... ha ha ha!

She got her lawn mower from Brenda, Breanna, Jarod & Jeff - now she can mow the grass in her bathing suit & sunglasses!
