I am so proud of Eva. I had Eli in the swing when it was her nap time. I put a sleeping bag down on the floor near, but not right beside Grace, and told her she would have to lay down there or go in a pack and play. She didn't like that idea at all (the pack and play). So she layed down on the sleeping bag. She tossed and turned a few times and started to get off of it when Grace layed down for her nap. I said Eva you have to lay here or I will put you in the pack and play. Bless her little heart, she went to sleep. It is so cute to see her lying there.

But seriously she is getting to big for the swing and I told her that. I told her the swing was for little babies and Eli would want to sit in it. She said "Eli swing, not Eva". She's growing up so fast.

By the way, Grace looks adorable in her outfit today. She is sooooooo pretty and growing up way to fast too. She is going to be so cute at school in all her new little school clothes. The teachers will fall in love with her. I remember those days with Breanna like it was yesterday. I loved dressing her for school and doing her hair. Makes me sad to think those days are over.

My baby is growing up... :-(

Cooties...

Okay so when officially do "cooties" start? Today we are playing in the pool when Grace asks Eva if she can use her towel... of course she IS already using it. Eva screams, "NO!" and runs over saying "wipe it off..." I mean does Grace have cooties or what???

This afternoon the girls & I went w/ Matt to the old car show. While we were there they got ice cream - Grace chocolate & Eva pineapple whip. It was so cute b/c they were stopping traffic while people stood to watch them sharing ice cream cones. Grace had hers down her chip & Eva would be on her toes trying to reach grace's cone... it was so sweet!

Trophy...

Grace just completed her two week golf lesson at Bear Chase Golf Course - Uncle Rob signed her up and took her! She was so cute when she got her trophy, Nanni was w/ her at her lesson and she told Nanni, "My mom and dad are going to be so proud I bet they SCREAM!"

Gosh I love her!

And George...

Okay so every night we say our prayers before bed, and there is a laundry list of individuals who routinely get blessed. Well, after a dinner at our house on the 27th of June w/ the Harrold's & Krull's, Eva has started adding "George" to our prayer list. Very cute, and sweet....

So tonight we say our prayers (Eva adds George into the mix), and when we are finished Grace wants to say her prayers all by herself - you know to show she's a "big girl"... I'm thinking to avoid going to bed!

But anyway she's saying her prayers & listing the people she wants to bless...

Eva is nearly coming out of my lap saying, "Gracie... Gracie... GEORGE, GEORGE"

Grace continues to ignore her, so Eva continues to say "Gracie (which sounds more like GA-CIE) GEORGE". I would guess Eva said George, 10x's or more...

I finally said, "Grace - please bless George."

Grace said, "but he's not family".

I told her, "apparently Eva thinks he needs blessing".

Grace finally relented and blessed George. Leaving Eva w/ a huge smile on her face.

I guess satisfaction comes easily at an early age!

Why, Mommy?

Oh I should have known this day would come, I've heard stories of me as a child and apparently I wore out the word "why"... I managed to make it through Grace's toddler years w/out the appearance of too many "why's" but Eva... it always seems like I'm saying "but Eva..." she's started in on the WHY?

Tonight we went to Nanni's house & from there went walking and stopped at the park... everything was "Why?" But the best was when she was using her cute pink dress to clean the slide. I said, "oh Eva, please don't do that - you'll be all dirty" Eva then respond w/ "but WHY Mommy? Why?" She asked "why" for everything the ENTIRE walk home...

We stopped at Rick & Vickie's where the girls got Popsicles, when she heard Eva asking "why?" she just laughed and said I deserved it;-)

Aren't desserts the best part of a holiday?

Okay so this years 4th of July wasn't one for the record book, unless you wanted to note all the RAIN - yuck! Who wants rain on the 4th of July??? The weather we've been having lately is more like April/May - rain, rain, rain and more rain! I want a HOT - blistering, Indiana summer! The kind where the poor kids detasling corn hate:-) Not a cloud in the sky, hot... I'll even take the 90% humidity... just make it quit raining.

So the 4th of July this year occurred on the 5th, and late in the day on the 5th as that sun didn't come out till then. But the cookout managed to still go on, and of course the kids don't care if the sun is out, all they want to do is get in the pool!

Well and as you can see.... eat D E S S E R T S!!!!

Me too!!!!

Okay so I'm wondering if we should officially have Eva's name changed to "Me too!!!!" b/c seriously that is all she says any more:-) Grace will ask for something, and immediately "Me too!" comes out of Eva's mouth -- for EVERYTHING. It's super cute, but seriously it's all she says:-)

Daddy's birthday!

Today was Daddy's birthday, and of course the girls wanted to make it EXTRA special, so we made him a cake. Grace wanted it to be a "flower" cake, but I'm not that talented when it comes to cooking. So she settled w/ a round cake w/ a flower made out of m&m's on it! Mattie loved it. He spent most of the day in meetings, so rather than leave him a VM he couldn't listen to the girls sent him the pic below on his phone. He said he was in a long, crappy meeting when the pic came in and he L O V E D it! Which I knew he would!
