Poor Gracie...

Poor Gracie, she's been saying all week that her throat hurt and she must not have been kidding b/c she's gotten some sort of bug. I was home w/ Eva today - pink eye, and Grace said she'd rather stay home than go to Brenda's, so I said okay. Around lunch time she said, "my stomach feels sick" - I honestly thought that she was just saying that b/c Eva was getting a lot of attention for her eyes, but rather than call her out on it I figured okay. So I said, lets get you a bowl then and sit down... no sooner than I'd gotten the bowl out and she THREW-UP everywhere! Oh, boy were my Mommy instincts off on that one!

Then, a few hours later and she was running a temperature! Poor thing!

Flower girl vs. Rainbow princess... hmmm...

Josh and Erin dropped by this evening and asked Grace is she would be the flower girl in their wedding... wouldn't you know it Grace said NO! I would have never dreamed in a MILLION years that she would say no. I think she didn't realize what a "flower girl" was b/c after saying no, she followed it up w/ "I want to be a rainbow princess". Once we explained that a flower girl and a rainbow princess were nearly the same thing she was all ready to be a flower girl and even said, "let's go!"

A rock star in the making...

Grace went to preschool, while I took Eva to the doctor... after we got home she decided to do her own hair - she thinks she looks just like "Hannah Montana ROCK STAR GIRL!!!" I personally think the bobbie pins w/ three headbands is a nice touch - maybe it's a style that will catch on:-)

Eva has PINK eye...

Okay so yesterday Eva's eyes had yucky stuff coming out of them, but I would never have imagined that over night she would look so much worse! When she woke up her little eyes were matted shut, and swollen - w/ a pinkish purple coloring all around. I took her to the doctor for walk-in's and clearly they didn't even have to ask why we came. Go figure! They said she has pink eye - a bad case too... I guess there is a strain of it going around that has been rather nasty and resistant to the normal antibiotic. But she was really good at the doctors office - flirting w/ some older girls in the waiting room. After her apt. I took her by Linnie's for a donut before we headed out to pick up Grace and Jillian.

Gosh poor Eva feels AWFUL...

When I got to Brenda's today Eva's right eye looked so yucky - turns my stomach! Yucky yellow stuff coming out of it, I have no clue how it didn't bother her more... I suppose it must have b/c as the night went on you could tell she just feels AWFUL. By bedtime both her eyes were yucky... it took forever to get her to go to sleep... she cried and cried. She even brought me the Tylenol bottle -- poor baby! We'll be going to walk in tomorrow (wish Dr. P was working but maybe Celia will be in), not sure if she'll be at Brenda's on Thursday, guess it depends on how she does tomorrow....

You bow, I bow...

Tonight Nanni watched the girls for half an hour or so while Matt & I ran over to the house to measure the windows... hoping to be able to get an idea of how much to set aside for window treatments. While we were gone Nanni, Grace & Eva were playing out back and Eva stumbled - didn't scrap her knee but Nanni kissed it. So Grace kissed it. So then (and this is just TOO CUTE!) Eva bent over and kissed her own knee too!!!

I mean that is what everyone else did, so aren't you supposed to???

I'll share w/ her...

Grace is so sweet! Eva wanted what Grace was eating, and I said "Eva ask Grace I bet she'd share" - Gracie said, "she doesn't have to ask Mommy I'll just share with her anyway...." too sweet:-)
