We gotta get a new dishwasher...

Oh Eva's so funny. Tonight I was cleaning up the kitchen, getting ready to run the dishwasher and wanting to make sure it was full first. So I'd gone through the refrigerator to get rid of any "old" items. I'm at the sink happily putting things down the drain - running the water, when I thought, "how did I spill water on the floor?" I look down and the floor is covered in water, I open the cabinet to see the GARBAGE DISPOSAL has fallen out -- seriously, how does that happen???

Matt comes to the rescue cleaning and fixing, I'm considering throwing up seeing the food bits and such, but trying to help mop up water. And little old Eva is standing back informing both of us, "We gotta get a new dishwasher - this (vis) one is broken. Better go to Walmart." Wise words spoken by a little person!

Clearly we need a TARGET in town, but what can I say? :-)

Eva's 1st Movie @ the Movie Theater...

Tonight we took the girls to see the Princess & the Frog - both girls have seen the commercials for weeks and have been dying to go. Aunt Kim went with us and Ella Griggs ended up at the same movie too - which worked out well b/c it took all three girls... Grace-Eva-Ella to hold two movie seats down!

The movie was SUPER cute, even I liked it, and the girls were like termites when it came to snacks, drinks and popcorn! Someone spilled Eva's popcorn cup and Eva kept loudly saying, "Mommy, look at this MESS!" At one point I told her she made it - and that was NOT the statement to make b/c she gave me the index finger and said, "ME DID NOT DO IT!" I was afraid they would stop the movie, so I was like, okay okay - you're right. I mean isn't that how it always works? :-)

Disney on Ice

Tonight we went w/ Nanni & Poppy and took the girls to Conceco to see Disney on Ice. I don't know how we got so lucky - I guess Mom's shopping the pre-sale for the tickets, but we were like the 8th row off the floor and center ice! Grace had been once before, but Eva was ga-ga over the entire event. Grace loved it, but also loved all the "extras" :-) i.e. the $12 cotton candy that Poppy bought her. It cracks me up b/c Poppy is buying it saying, "I'll get you to like cotton candy someday (when Grace was little - Eva's age, she wouldn't even try it!)" Yet Poppy's still saying it while Grace is eating it as fast as you breath air! And, a dentist - doesn't seem to jive does it?

Once the show started and the characters came out on the ice, Eva literally kept her right arm in the air waving for the whole first half of the show -- nearly an hour! At one point she had to use her left arm to support the right one but she didn't quit waving. After the intermission, and a good rest she was good to go back to waving, but started to get tired towards the end.

I remember taking Grace to Disney at Eva's age and forgot how at that age they TRULY believe that is Cinderella, or Mickey Mouse, etc... it's amazing to watch. It's no wonder that Eva is scared when Grace puts on a scary Halloween mask, I mean clearly she is easily convinced that Cinderella is waving to her - so a monster isn't a far stretch.
