A big tooth.... already???

Okay so Grace's tooth hasn't even fallen out yet and she's got a tooth coming in behind it! YIKES! All I can think about - worry about, is she's going to have awful teeth:-( Dad said I should just know that she's going to have to wear braces, which I'd figured, but I don't want her to have horrible teeth before the braces fix them. I mean she's so cute right now, this tooth looks like it might come in UNDER her tongue! Dad says - and I guess I should listen, since he IS a dentist, that once the baby tooth comes out it will move forward... I keep telling Grace she needs to wiggle that baby tooth like crazy! I still remember being in at Dad's office when Amanda Weintrout was in the office SCREAMING - I was terrified. Dad later explained that they were "helping" her to get her baby tooth out so there was room for the big tooth, I then went up stairs and pulled my front teeth. All Dad would have to say if I had a loose tooth was "let me see it" and I'd go pull it.

H A L L O W E E N ! ! !

For Halloween Gracie dressed up as Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ and Eva was an angel. Both girls looked so cute! Mom helped me, okay so mom made most of Grace’s costume and I helped (a little!) but she had the ruby red slippers and her little basket w/ Toto, she was so cute! And Eva made the sweetest little angel, with her little fro of curls making her halo complete. Halloween isn’t Matt’s favorite holiday by far but we had a great time tricker-treating. The weather was great. We made our rounds to the select houses and then wrapped things up by going to Nanni’s for chili where we let the girls eat and hand out candy to the kids still out. It was a GREAT night!

Grace’s First Sleep Over...

Grace’s friend Macey (7) had a birthday party sleep over the weekend before but Grace was getting over the flu and it was outside, so just asking for trouble. So since we didn’t let Grace go we told Grace to make up for it she could have Macey over to our house, not as good as going but a nice second place. Macey came around 5:00 p.m. and the girls – Eva included had a great time! They played dress up, house, barbies, babies, oh my – not even sure what else. I didn’t even see them again until at least 6:30 p.m. when the pizza arrived. It was so funny b/c my little 5 year old who hardly eats anything had to try and match Macey slice for slice! Every time Macey said she’d like more, Grace would chime in and said she did too! We finally started cutting Grace’s smaller. I thought for sure they would be sick, but apparently not, they just turned into a boys football team while playing dress up. After that they danced to Hannah Montana on the wii and did gymnastics.

I was worried about having Macey but she was so well behaved if I could have sent anyone home it would have been Grace! Every once in a while you would hear, Eva say, “Mommy Gracie has such-and-such, or Gracie’s doing such-and-such” and when I would tell Grace we don’t do that she would be like “O-K”. I’m sure soon they will tell Eva you can’t play w/ us – my little snitch! But so far so good, the big girls even let Eva sleep on an air mattress in “Grams” room with them, now of course not the same bed as they were in but Eva was still happy – I think the happiness wore off around 2:30 a.m. when she came crying downstairs to sleep w/ me!

Both girls were tired the next day, but Grace tried to blame it on that “trick-er treating stuff”, I was like yeah right – ha!

Halloween Party at Grace's school...

Today I volunteered to help Grace’s class w/ their Halloween Party. It as tons of fun, the party started at 2:00 p.m. just me and another mom. Grace was so cute; when I got there she waved and smiled at me. The two teachers each had a table and each mom, and we would help a small group of kids do an activity. I had the black paint, and was to show them how to make spiders w/ their palm and fingers – I almost think I was messier than the kids! But it was fun, I got so many hugs:-) It was also nice to put a name w/ a face, Grace is always coming home talking about so-and-so and this was the first time I actually got to see them.

Grace left w/ me after the party and we went to pick up Eva, and get ready for (drum roll please…..) her FIRST sleep over! I know I’m crazy, what was I thinking???
