Today we went to the Pumpkin Patch at Stoney Creek in Noblesville. I personally, along w/ the girls, LOVE going to the Pumpkin Patch. I think I almost crave anything that can be a "family tradition", Mom says it is b/c my Dad never liked doing those things (so even as a child I wanted the tradition). But that's beside the point, Matt - like Dad hates going, but at least Matt goes and is a good sport about it.
So we got there a little before lunch, as it was a Sunday, they weren't too busy yet. The weather was nice, sunny, but on the cool side, but that's all we've had lately so I'm happy that at least there is sun! Grace wanted to ride a pony, Eva had no interest but had fun watching. After riding the pony we walked around a bit and then headed out to the Pumpkin Patch, once there Grace ran around trying to find the biggest pumpkin she could pick up.
Our family tradition is, you don't have to be able to carry it (Dad does that) but you have to be able to pick your pumpkin up. So of course Grace who has grown thinks she can get a pumpkin that would need a fork lift to get it home! In true Gracie spirit she kept looking for a little bitty pumpkin for Eva. Eva wasn't interested in looking for pumpkins or getting her picture taken, she wanted to be carried the entire time, and I think she could have cared less about getting a pumpkin. But when Grace found a pumpkin for her - just her size too! She was happy and carried it the entire time:-)
