Grace's 1st Preschool Field Trip...

Today was Grace's 1st Preschool Field trip - heck her 1st Field trip every. I of course had to go along... I mean since parents were invited, I wouldn't embarrass her by going if we weren't invited. I would sit at home or work being worried SICK, but I wouldn't go. But luckily for me we were invited to go! I offered to drive but once I got there it appeared that since I'm not a van driving mom my services weren't needed. So Grace and I rode in a van w/ 3 other little people and Jackie (another mom). We went to the Anderson Apple Orchard, which both Grace & Eva have been to numerous times, but it was still so much fun!

Not sure what I had expected but when we got there, each child got a small bag to collect their apples. It was fun watching how they would select them... some would pick them from off the ground, others had to reach as high in the tree as they could to get theirs. Grace on the other hand was happy picking good apples as long as she was in good company - her friends and her Mommy near by.

After picking apples, we got pictures w/ each preschooler popping their head through the center of an apple, and a group shot. Then everyone sat together to have warm apple cider:-) The cider concluded the trip, after the drive home we all headed our separate ways. Since I'd taken the day off from work to spend it w/ Grace she and I spent the afternoon having lunch, playing around and shopping together:-) GIRL things!

It was very sweet though, I had thought Grace might like the idea of having me all to herself, but she actually asked why we didn't pick Eva up at Brenda's. When I told her Eva was napping she was okay w/ that response but clearly missed having her along -- too sweet!!!
